The trombone is a wonderful instrument for beginners as its easy and fun to play and is a good foundation to learn other instruments. This versatile brass instrument is found in many musical genres, from classical music, jazz, blues, rock to even folk music. Eskay’s trombone lessons, provides a fun, informative, and customized music lesson plan for students of all abilities from beginner to advanced! We ensure that our students are matched with teachers who equally share their musical passions and goals. Trombone students are taught how to read music, sight reading pieces, using correct embouchure, improving playing techniques, and studying scales. Styles of trombone lessons include both classical pieces and contemporary music. Because of the physical requirements of the trombone, lessons are offered to students aged 8 and above.
Eskay’s can prepare your student for competitions such as NYSSMA and the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM). Similarly, teachers can also assist students with their current material in elementary, middle school and high school band classes and can also prepare students for marching band and auditions such as college admissions. In-Person Private Trombone Lessons
Eskay’s provides in-home private music lessons throughout Nassau County including the towns of Syosset, Jericho & Plainview. In-person lessons allow the student to learn the instrument in the comfort of their own home in a private, one-on-one setting. Lessons are taught in 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions, varying on the students piano playing experience. We recommend beginners start with 30 minute sessions to familiarize themselves with their teacher to establish their goals and desired teaching method. As the student familiarizes themselves with the instrument and masters the basics, lessons can be extended to include more material.
Virtual Trombone Lessons
Eskay’s offers virtual lessons in addition to our in-person option. Similar to in-person, online lessons are taught in 30,45 or 60 minute sessions. Our one-on-one online music lessons gives the student ample attention and allows for attention to detail. Regardless of ability or prior experience, our teachers take an individualized approach to each of our students musical journey. Online lessons are conducted over Zoom.
